The PRANA side of Witness School is up, and the wiki pages behind it

Witness School now documents PRANA — the EVM chain beside MELEK — alongside the witness and mining material that was already there. Two new lesson pages, and fourteen reference articles in the Library they cite.

The split

MELEK is the Graphene chain: posts, votes, witnesses, no fees, no downvotes. PRANA is the EVM chain: smart contracts, mined blocks, and where tokens trade. witness.melek.salon/learn states the split and links the five things you can do on the PRANA side.

KulaSwap — witness.melek.salon/kulaswap

KulaSwap is a Uniswap-V2 automated market maker on PRANA. The page covers the constant-product pool and that price is the ratio of the two reserves; slippage, which is the curve rather than a fee; the 0.30% paid to the pool's liquidity providers; approving the router once per token; providing liquidity and what impermanent loss does to that position; and that the first deposit into a new pool sets its opening price.

The pair table is read from the factory on each load. There are nine pairs. Each reserve is scaled by its own token's decimals() — they are not uniformly 18 here: wVKBT and wCURE are 8, wBLURT is 6. Eight pairs hold a balance on both sides and the page prints the ratio each one implies. The ninth holds 100 and 10,000 wei and duplicates an existing pair.

Current pool ratios, as the page shows them:

  • 1 KULA = 0.637434 WPRANA
  • 1 KULA = 17.504966 wVKBT
  • 1 KULA = 8.610051 wMELEK
  • 1 KULA = 0.315358 MWALI
  • 1 wCURE = 2.343722 KULA
  • 1 wCURE = 40.359092 wVKBT
  • 1 wCURE = 1.503108 WPRANA
  • 1 WPRANA = 27.2944 wVKBT

A ratio is what an infinitely small trade would get. An actual fill is worse by the slippage the trade's own size causes, plus the fee.

MELEK-Engine — witness.melek.salon/engine

MELEK-Engine is a side-token layer on MELEK, the same design as Hive-Engine on Hive. Every Engine operation is posted as a custom_json in a MELEK block, and Engine nodes replay those operations in order to compute token state. It is not an EVM: there are no contracts and no arbitrary logic, only the operations Engine defines.

tokens.create sets symbol, name, precision and max supply, and burns APIS — the supply decreases and no account receives it. tokens.issue mints into circulation. rewards.setReward turns on SCOT: a tag, a daily emission, an author/curator split, after which posts under that tag earn the token alongside MELEK. To trade it, wrap it to PRANA and open a KulaSwap pool.

Live sidechain state, read on each load: sidechain id mse-mainnet-melek, anchored to the MELEK mainnet chain id, fee token APIS, miner token WMELEK, two tokens issued. Those two are the fee token and the wrapped-MELEK miner token, both issued by @hathor. No other account has issued a token.

The page also carries an Engine / PRC-20 comparison: Engine requires no code and supports SCOT post rewards; PRC-20 requires Solidity and supports arbitrary logic and direct trading.

The wiki pages behind them

Every lesson links to the Library of Ashurbanipal article it rests on, so the theory is one click away and is not retyped on the lesson page. These are the PRANA-side articles, all live:

Contract audit

Every PRANA address published on Witness School was checked against the chain. All seventeen have code deployed, and each token's name() and symbol() match the label used for it. The KulaSwap router's factory() returns the factory address listed. eth_chainId returns 0xade19, which is 712217.

Two documented facts were wrong and are corrected. The witness price feed had never been published to MELEK mainnet — the hourly job had been publishing to the testnet, and the mainnet witness carried an empty exchange rate with last_sbd_exchange_update at the Unix epoch. It now publishes to mainnet hourly. And the AutoVote setup guides described keyless MELEK signing as pending until MELEK-Signer shipped; MELEK-Signer is live and is the only MELEK login, and posting-key storage is not offered on MELEK at all.

Index

Run a witness: /run. Mine: /mine, /pool. Make a token: /engine for no code, /tokens for a PRC-20, /academy for the step by step. Trade and provide liquidity: /kulaswap. Build on PRANA: /dev/prana — RPC, chain id, deployed contracts, Foundry and Hardhat.

Forty-one pages, all responding. Figures on the KulaSwap and Engine pages are read live. If one does not match the chain, reply here.
