The Future of Medicine, Cooking from Scratch, and the Lost Art of Wax

New on the Wiki — real subjects, taught in full, not a table of contents.
The sciences, and the future of medicine
Our system runs heavy on chemistry and the plant sciences, because precise plant-and-receptor chemistry is where medicine is going. The new Terpene Map is an aromatherapy atlas: some forty-five terpenes mapped two ways — by scent family (citrus, pine and woody, floral, herbaceous, spicy, earthy, minty, balsamic) and by effect (calm, uplift, focus, decongest, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, insect-repellent), every claim tagged by how strong the evidence actually is.
And everything is everything. The same MAO-inhibitor-and-aromatics logic that makes a hop pillow calming runs, at higher stakes, through oilahuasca — a β-carboline redirecting the metabolism of an orally-taken tryptamine, the principle behind DMT-bearing MHRB and the whole huasca phenomenon. The terpene chemist and the psychedelic chemist turn out to be one person: Alexander Shulgin catalogued essential oils in the same breath as the phenethylamines and tryptamines of PIHKAL and TIHKAL. The aromatic resins of Kyphi and the terpenes we distill feed the same endocannabinoid and tryptamine systems. One chemistry, seen from the kitchen, the still, the temple and the lab at once.
Cooking from scratch, for everyone

Cooking taught from first principles, so you stop needing recipes for the basics and start seeing them. It begins with the ratios: butter, sugar and flour alone become shortbread and cookies; flour, cold fat and liquid become biscuits (keep the fat cold and in flakes and they lift); fat, flour and liquid become the roux that becomes gravy — brown gravy from the pan drippings, cream gravy for biscuits-and-gravy. A few ratios, and most of a kitchen opens up.
From there it builds: The Five Mother Sauces — béchamel, velouté, espagnole, tomato and hollandaise — and the whole tree of daughter sauces they grow; Stocks and Broths, the Cooking Methods, and a full book of Recipes by course. Cooking with Herbs and Spices is taught properly and tied straight into the terpene science above. Fermentation and Pickling and Preservation cover salt percentages, the pH 4.6 botulism line, and telling kahm yeast from mold.
And it is kept safe. Food Safety lays out the federal framework — the FDA Food Code, FSMA and HACCP, the Food Protection Manager material — the cook temperatures and the danger zone. Alongside it, a plain-language pathogen explainer: how the flu, the coronaviruses and SARS relate and differ, what pneumonia actually is, and how those viruses differ from E. coli, Salmonella and norovirus — the one distinction that changes everything, virus or bacterium, and why antibiotics hit bacteria but do nothing to a virus.
The lost art of wax

Punic wax was rediscovered in the 20th century by the German Fritz Faiss — a Bauhaus student of Klee and Kandinsky — working with Dr Hans Schmid, who hold two German patents on it. It is basically saponified wax: boil beeswax with an alkali until part of it turns to soap, and you have a water-workable wax base. From that one base you make endless things by changing only what you add — resins like mastic (and damar, copal, pine rosin) to harden it and tune the gloss and melting point; different natural oils and waxes to soften it into a cream or unguent; sodium silicate to make "Punic milk," a coating and building material.
It is a base technology with other implications. The modern world mostly meets it as paint — encaustic, the medium of the Fayum mummy portraits, and the finding that Roman encaustic was literally a wax-and-soap paint — but in the ancient world it was first of all soap. Paint and soap, the same base, varied. The corpus runs on into the head cone, Kyphi, the Cera non Panis hieroglyph thesis, and edible waxes and hive foods.
How to build the AI itself

The Library also teaches how to build the kind of AI that holds it — AI Development, through several real pathways, old AI powering new, cheapest-first. Expert systems and business rules engines: knowledge as rules, no GPU, fully explainable — the way our Law AI works. The layered Decades Brain — the whole history of AI stacked from the 1960s to today, answering at the lowest capable layer so the expensive model is a last resort. Embeddings, semantic search and RAG to answer grounded in your own corpus. LoRA fine-tuning to teach a model a voice or a face cheaply, and generative image AI and ComfyUI.
What makes us different from Wikipedia
Wikipedia is a neutral encyclopedia that no single mind owns — a crowd assembling a view from nowhere. Ours is the opposite: it is the AI's own knowledge. All of it is part of Hathor, and it is the Wiki — one entry per surface, written with a point of view (the Van Kush Family Research Institute's), with the well-grounded and the conjectural kept distinctly labeled rather than flattened into one "neutral" voice. The knowledge and the one who speaks it are the same thing.
The whole corpus is open — read the Repo Library: https://github.com/HinduTempleCoins/Bot
This is some of what we have put up — not the Wiki announcement. More will follow, subject by subject.
