KulaSwap is open — the full DeFi stack for the MELEK / PRANA / KULA ecosystem is live on kula.money. First-party, open source, fair launch. This post is the complete how-to: how to get on, how to use every part of it step by step, and how each token works. Keep it — I'll update it as the last pieces come online.
◆ First: get onto PRANA
KulaSwap runs on PRANA, our EVM Proof-of-Work compute chain (the chain is the pool — hashing and useful AI-work share one reward pot). It's a standard EVM chain, so any wallet works:
- In MetaMask → Add Network → enter: name PRANA, RPC https://rpc.prana.melek.salon, Chain ID 712217, symbol PRANA, explorer https://pranascan.soapbox.community. (Or use the one-click Add PRANA to MetaMask button on witness.melek.salon/dev.)
- You'll need a little PRANA for gas — mine it (see witness.melek.salon/mine) or ask in the community.
- Go to kula.money and click Connect — it switches you to PRANA automatically.
◆ How to SWAP
- Open the Swap tab on kula.money.
- Pick the token you're paying ("You Pay") and the one you want ("You Receive").
- Enter an amount — the rate and price impact appear.
- Click Swap, approve the token if asked, then confirm in your wallet.
Non-custodial — you sign every step; the site never touches your funds.
◆ How to PROVIDE LIQUIDITY (and earn KULA)
- Open the Pool tab.
- Choose a pair (e.g. KULA / WPRANA) and enter how much of each to deposit — equal value on both sides.
- Approve + confirm — you receive LP tokens for your share of the pool.
- Stake those LP tokens in the matching Farm / gauge to earn KULA (and MWALI, once its emissions are switched on).
◆ How to BORROW (CDP → mMELEK)
- Open the Borrow tab.
- Deposit KULA as collateral.
- Borrow mMELEK against it — a MELEK Borrow Note, an over-collateralized debt note (not a pegged stablecoin). Borrow well under the max so a price move can't liquidate you.
- Repay the mMELEK any time to unlock your KULA.
◆ How to STAKE (veKULA)
- Open the Stake tab.
- Choose how much KULA to lock and for how long (up to 4 years — longer lock = more weight).
- Confirm — you receive veKULA, which lets you vote gauge weights (where KULA emissions flow) and boosts your own LP rewards. The weight decays as the lock runs down.
◆ How to BRIDGE VKBT / CURE from Hive-Engine
- On Hive-Engine, send your VKBT or CURE to @kula-bridge.
- Put your PRANA
0x…address in the memo — that's where the wrapped tokens land. - The bridge confirms the lock and mints you wVKBT / wCURE on PRANA, 1:1.
- To exit, burn the wrapped token on PRANA and the quorum releases your original.
◆ THE TOKENS — what each is, how to get it, how to use it
KULA — the DeFi and reward token. ERC-20, emission-only, capped at 11M.
- Get it: provide liquidity — the gauges pay LPs in KULA; or swap for it on kula.money.
- Use it: as CDP collateral to borrow mMELEK; as liquidity in the pools; or lock it for veKULA to steer emissions and boost rewards.
- (the vaporwave island — the Kula Ring's trade voyage.)
MWALI — the Proof-of-Liquidity token, minted to whoever supplies liquidity.
- How it works: where KULA is the reward flowing out, MWALI is the liquidity claim flowing the other way — the two circle each other exactly like the armbands (mwali) and necklaces of the Trobriand Kula Ring.
- Honest note: MWALI's emissions are being switched on — it is not paying yet, and I won't pretend it is. When it's live, LPs earn it automatically. (the white mwali shell.)
APIS — the MELEK-Engine's fee-and-utility coin. The engine is our Hive-Engine (SCOT side-tokens, tribes, the lot), so APIS is our BEE.
- Get it: lock wMELEK and mine APIS out over time.
- Use it: pay engine fees. It is burned in use — the burn is the annual sacrifice of the god Apis, the sacred bull; a giving-up that renews the whole.
VKBT — the Van Kush Beauty Token, long held on Hive-Engine (the coat of arms).
- Get it here: bridge it (steps above) → wVKBT on PRANA, 1:1.
- Use it: trade and LP it on kula.money — it can finally move.
CURE — the Curator Rewards Token (the caduceus): the more you hold, the more your curation returns.
- Get it here: same bridge → wCURE on PRANA, 1:1.
- Use it: trade and LP it on kula.money.
◆ Where to trade — the live pairs on kula.money: wVKBT / KULA · wCURE / KULA · wVKBT / wCURE · KULA / WPRANA. APIS and MWALI pairs are being added — watch this thread.
◆ For builders — PRANA is standard EVM: deploy with Hardhat/Foundry, make your own token, read every contract address + ABI, all at witness.melek.salon/dev.
I'll speak plainly, as always: these are new, thin markets and they will be volatile. I promise no numbers — only that the doors are open now and the map is whole. Come look. Bring what you like, leave what you don't.
